Pick my next pedicure color: 5 shades for fall (and which shoes they go with)
I can never decide at the salon, so this time you're choosing.
Every pedicure appointment ends the same way: me staring at the color wall for ten minutes. So here's the shortlist, what each shade goes with, and how to vote.
1. Clean white
- Looks extra fresh on a tan and makes any sandal look new.
- Best with: white or nude slides, gold flat sandals, clear-strap heels.
- Tip: a creamy white is more forgiving than a stark one, and chips show less.
2. Cherry red
- The classic. Works all year and never looks dated.
- Best with: black strappy stilettos, nude pumps, anything for date night.
3. Soft pink
- Easy, sweet and low-maintenance: grow-out barely shows.
- Best with: white sneakers, blush heels, denim and white outfits.
4. Burgundy / wine
- The fall pick. Deep, rich and great with boots weather around the corner.
- Best with: cognac or tan heels, black pumps, gold sandals.
5. Nude with chrome French tips
- Polished and a little trendy, and it goes with literally every shoe.
- Best with: clear-strap heels, metallic sandals, barely-there stilettos.
